Firsthand Journeys 2025
Travel is a journey adventure. It opens doors to understanding people, their history, their culture and the common bonds that unify humanity. Different colors, shades and expressions are rooted in the way countries, communities and tribes have evolved to live in their environments. I have travelled the world all my life. It not only is a means of direct observation, but often times, a participation, especially if the culture is not modern, but close to its ancient beginnings of beliefs, structure and a deep connection to nature. Dancing with a Masai tribe in Kenya, sleeping in a yurt in Uzbekistan, being honored with a tribal necklace in Papua New Guinea by a tribe who were cannibals only two generations ago, climbing Mt. Everest, dancing in a Trance dance in Bali, all make visual real-life experience that I can only capture a glimpse, in a painting. These firsthand journey experiences have been my life and continue to be a source of the wonder of mankind, nature and our planet.
